Day 2 featured a technology summit under the auspices of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who observed, “Shimon Peres had tremendous confidence in the genius of Israel,” emphasizing, “The future belongs to those who innovate.”

The summit featured an all-star lineup of tech leaders, all of whom were effusive in their praise for Israeli tech. Former Google CEO and chairman Eric Schmidt said, “There is no better concentration of talent than in Israel.” It was a sentiment shared by Alibaba Group co-founder and executive chairman Jack Ma, who declared, “The Israeli people proved one thing: if you have brains and heart, you can make anything possible.”
In reflecting on Israel’s rapid advances, Facebook Vice President David Marcus stated, “Israel is a source of inspiration because it redefines what is possible in just one generation.”
The summit shares a hopeful vision for the future
Israel Maimon, who as government secretary worked with the late president, said, “Shimon Peres was a visionary, and this extraordinary center is a tribute to his limitless faith in Israel and its ability to better lives around the globe.”
