September 2, 2021: Israel Ambassador to the U.S. and United Nations Speaks to Israel Bonds
Just prior to Rosh Hashanah, Ambassador to the United States and United Nations Gilad Erdan extended New Year’s greetings to an international Israel Bonds audience via Zoom. Ambassador Erdan – the first Israeli to serve in the dual diplomatic capacity since Abba Eban – shared his thoughts on a number of timely issues, including U.S.-Israel relations, the Abraham Accords, Iran and increased antisemitism. Ambassador Erdan also praised the Israel Bonds enterprise, expressing appreciation for “your incredible work, especially during covid. You are making a real difference, and I mean it.”
July 26, 2021: Minister of Diaspora Affairs Dr. Nachman Shai Addressed a Global Israel Bonds
audience via Zoom on July 26, emphasizing Israel “must renew the dialogue with all denominations of Judaism. There is enough room under the tent for all of us.” Sharing priorities for Israel’s new government, he stated, “We have to heal the wounds of Israeli society. We live together under the same sun, the same sky.” Minister Shai recalled his visit, together with an IDF rescue team, to the site of the Surfside, Florida tragedy, noting, “In times of disaster, trouble and sorrow, we stand together.” He also praised “what Israel Bonds has done for generations,” observing, “You can’t mention Israel without mentioning Israel Bonds.”
July 21, 2021: Former-Jerusalem Mayor and Knesset Member Nir Barkat is Hosted by Israel Bonds New Leadership New York
Members of Bonds’ New York New Leadership Division met with former Jerusalem mayor and member of the Knesset Nir Barkat at Israel Bonds headquarters in New York. Barkat spoke on current issues facing the Jewish state and answered questions posed by the committee about demonstrating support for Israel and enhancing involvement in the Bonds organization.
June 30, 2021: Israel Bonds New York New Leadership Hosts a Rooftop Program in Manhattan
Israel Bonds New York New Leadership commenced returning to in-person events with a rooftop soirée in Manhattan, at Tempura, a kosher restaurant in midtown. After a 15-month hiatus, over 200 young, New York-area professionals showed up in support of Israel Bonds and celebrated ‘Bond Voyage to Zoom’ with investments in Israel bonds.
June 24, 2021: The Kosher Baker Paula Shoyer Joins Israel Bonds Washington New Leadership for a Babka Bake Cooking Class
Cookbook author and social media influencer Paula Shoyer, known as The Kosher Baker, hosted a babka bake cooking class with Israel Bonds Washington New Leadership over zoom. Attendees learned how to make a full babka, as-well-as babka bites. She additionally answered questions related to her new Kosher Instant Pot Cookbook, which at the time was the #1 Kosher cookbook on Amazon.
