On Sunday, August 6, 2017, more than 70 members of the Columbus chapter of Hadassah gathered at the historic Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley, Ohio for the fifth annual Israel Bonds/Hadassah Donor Event. This number represents a nearly fifty percent increase in attendees. Guest speaker was acclaimed author Julie Orringer, who provided personal insight to the writing of her Holocaust based novel, The Invisible Bridge. Emily Hindin, who was instrumental in implementing the collaborative event, was presented Hadassah’s Miriam’s Cup Award for her many years of dedicated service. Ninety percent of the attendees donated an Israel bond of $100 or more to Hadassah Medical Relief as the means to attend the event and support the Zionistic missions of both organizations.
