On August 17
th, a committee of 23 young professionals came together to host the largest ever Israel Bonds Chicago New Leadership event with 225 people in attendance. The annual event was held at Binny's Tasting Room in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago due to the generosity of owner Michael Binstein. Midwest Chairman Burton Herbstman spoke along with Adam Grossman, assistant director for the Midwest Region. Chicago’s New Leadership Chair and member of Israel Bonds National New Leadership Council, Teri Herbstman, encouraged participants to not only get involved locally in Chicago but also on the national level. The event featured kosher BBQ as well as a champagne welcome, Kettle One ice luge, and Israeli wine station. A number of guests from across the country came to Chicago for this memorable night including National New Leadership Associate Director Rachel Fertel and National New Leadership Council member Zev Shulkin. Chicago has three more New Leadership events planned this year: a
Lunch & Learn on October 25th with Hunter Stuart, a parlor meeting with Israeli Deputy Counsel General to the Midwest Itay Milner on November 16
th, and a Chanukah Happy Hour in December.
