On June 16, Ambassador Dani Dayan, Consul General of Israel in New York, addressed a global Israel Bonds audience of over 230 via Zoom and Facebook Live on the topic:
Israel and America: Strengthening Our Relationship in a Changing World, sharing his perspectives on Israel’s diplomatic relations, its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the nation is preparing for a swift economic recovery. As he soon concludes his term and will return to Israel, Ambassador Dayan recalled his first public appearance as consul general-elect which happened to be speaking to an Israel Bonds delegation at the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv. Since appointment to his role in March of 2016, Ambassador Dayan, who represents the State of Israel to communities throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Delaware, stated he was certainly happy to assist Israel Bonds, identifying the organization's important role in enhancing Israel's economy.
Ambassador Dayan, born in Buenos Aires, has remained firmly dedicated to strengthening the relationship between the Diaspora and Israel throughout his career, and reflected on a number of reasons citing why he believes, “Israel today is stronger than ever.” In serving previously as chairman of the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria and the council’s chief foreign envoy, Ambassador Dayan stands as a prominent voice in advocating for development of Israel’s breadth of global alliances, and plans to return to Israel with optimism for the future, hoping to further his life’s work in perpetuating the continuity of the Jewish people, which he explains, lies “deep in my bones.” The event, held under the auspices of Israel Bonds New Jersey Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren counties, was hosted by Israel Bonds New Jersey co-chair Dr. Richard Agrin, and was an opportunity for Bonds leadership and staff to say ‘toda raba’ for all that Ambassador Dayan has done to build and enhance the bonds of friendship between Israel and the U.S. Demonstrate your personal support by investing in Israel bonds online at
