Every year approximately 18,000 pro-Israel supporters from across the country and around the world converge in Washington, DC, for the annual AIPAC Policy Conference. Ahead of his remarks on March 1 at the Policy Conference, Israel's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Danny Danon joined Israel Bonds investors at the President’s Club level ($100,000 and greater), for an off-the-record briefing on 'Israel in the United Nations' at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington on February 29.

Israel’s diplomatic efforts at the United Nations
Ambassador Danon began serving Israel at the U.N. in October 2015. Prior to this diplomatic role, Danon was a Member of the Knesset from February 2009 until August 2015. He served as Deputy Speaker of the 18th Knesset, as chair of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, and among others as a member of the Labor, Welfare and Health Committee, House, Constitution, Law and Justice, Foreign Affairs and Defense, Education, Culture, and Sports Committee, and Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs, as well as on the Committee on the Status of Women and Gender Equality, and the Committee on the Rights of the Child.

Danon served as Deputy Minister of Defense from March 2013 until July 2014. In May 2015 he was appointed Minister of Science, Technology, and Space.
