Executive Director

Location: Aventura (Miami), FL

Position Summary:
The Executive Director is responsible for the development and implementation of all local sales goals, programs, and operations and for managing two additional branch offices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create an annual written business plan for the region for activities and sales outreach designed to attain the sales targets established by the National Office, and revise as appropriate
  • Act as a prime conduit for high-end, institutional, and corporate sales
  • Manage Professional and Administrative staff of the office, including, without limitation, making hiring and firing recommendations and performance evaluations, under the supervision of the Vice President/Sales and Human Resources Director
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of overall sales strategy for the region
  • Plan and maintain the budget for the region
  • Supervise the planning and implementation of major events and special projects
  • Oversee selection of speakers for events with assistance from our Business Development team
  • Identify and secure honorees
  • Oversee design and printing of all event materials with assistance from our National Marketing department
  • Oversee and participate in solicitations for new purchases, reinvestments and repeat purchases
  • Maintain relationships with significant customers and institutions
  • Manage marketing presentations to individuals and groups
  • Conduct “Know Your Customer” analysis to assure that recommendations to customers are suitable based on his/her situation and needs; such analysis includes a review of information such as customer’s financial status, tax status, and investment objectives
  • Recognize red/yellow flags for anti-money laundering program and elevate, as appropriate
  • Manage and oversee solicitations for local events
  • Manage bond financing program locally (i.e., with customers, not banks)
  • Solicit for participation in National Delegations to Israel, National Leadership Conferences, and other national events
  • Secure outstanding community leader as chairperson of regional sales
  • Serve as liaison with National Departments
  • Assist the National Office in the implementation of guidelines, policies, and systems
  • Find, meet with, and motivate current and future lay leadership, establishing functioning lay committees and boards
  • Review and edit all public relations, advertisements, press releases, speeches, invitations, and mailings
  • Evaluate all regional events and activities for effectiveness in meeting sales and other goals
  • Provide reports as necessary to National Office
  • Attend and staff National Leadership events, when requested
  • Maintain knowledge of the social/political/economic situation in Israel and the US

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Licensing Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of management experience
  • FINRA licensing required: SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) Series 7 and Series 63 (will provide study materials and training)
  • Background in sales development, including event management and board development
  • Strong oral, written, analytical, listening, persuasive and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones and photocopiers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, this position requires constant communication and the ability to exchange accurate information, the ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 35 hours per week. Work extended/evening hours, weekends and holidays when needed

TRAVEL: Travel is expected for this position.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must successfully pass a background check, and fingerprinting
