In moments of crisis, our values are tested. In moments of war, our character is revealed. Since the unimaginable October 7 terror attack, Israel has faced one of the greatest challenges in its history.

A few weeks ago, as I was in New York, Facetiming with my three children in Israel – our family routine whenever sirens go off alerting people to rush to nearby bomb shelters – our worst fear came true.

I had the privilege of attending the annual Israel Bonds Leadership Conference in Dallas.

For the Jewish people, the darkness of this past year has been overwhelming in so many ways.

The past year has been the most difficult that Israel and the Jewish people have faced in living memory. However, as we reflect on these challenging times, we must also look toward the future.
