Dear Congregant,

Our tradition teaches us the Book of Life, open throughout the High Holy Days, is not formally closed and sealed until the middle of the Festival of Sukkot – almost a week and a half after Yom Kippur.

Long after the Book of Life is sealed, our congregation’s Book of Participants in the Israel Bonds High Holy Days Appeal remains open for additional names. Participating in our Israel Bonds campaign strengthens Israel and strengthens the ties of our congregation to the land and people of Israel. For 68 years we have been there for Israel through investments in Israel bonds.

  1. Ranks ahead of United States, Britain, France, and Italy in the annual World Happiness Report, a survey of global societal well-being that ranks 155 countries by happiness levels using variables such as GDP per capita and healthy life expectancy.
  2. Leads the world in sustainability by reclaiming 85%+ of its wastewater, desalinating sea water, and protecting other natural/scarce resources.
  3. Increased the number of Israeli-Arab women in the work force from 22% ten years ago to 40% today. 70% of Arab university students in Israel are women.
The names of many of our congregants are already inscribed in the Israel Bonds High Holy Days Appeal Book of Participants. Please join us in supporting and connecting with our nation – the nation of Israel.
